1. INTRODUCTION

When you visit the website www.aet-biomass.com ("the Website"), Aalborg Energie Technik A/S, Alfred Nobels Vej 21F, 9220 Aalborg Øst, company registration no. 18974347 ("AET"), processes personal data about you. AET is the data controller for such processing. This privacy and cookie policy ("Privacy and Cookie Policy") describes how AET processes personal data about you as a contact person employed at a customer, vendor or cooperation partner that AET has entered into or prospectively will enter into a contract with, or as a visitor of our Website.

 

2. CATEGORY OF PERSONAL DATA

2.1 Contact person

As a contact person employed at a customer, vendor or another cooperation partner, we process your personal data when you communicate with us e.g. via emails in connection with our existing contractual basis with the company you are employed with or in connection with the conclusion or termination of a contract with the company you are employed with. We also process personal data about you as a contact person employed at a potential customer or existing customer if we market our products. We process ordinary personal data about you, including your name, email address, telephone number, address, your position with the company, customer ID, etc.

 

2.2 The Website

We also process personal data about you as a visitor of the Website. We process personal data about you collected via cookies. You can read more about the processing in section 7 of this Privacy and Cookie Policy. We process information about your online behaviour such as your IP-address, information about the chosen operating system on your computer, your mobile device, chosen internet browser and your online activities on the Website, provided you have accepted the Website's use of cookies.

 

3. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS

3.1 Contact person

AET limits its processing of personal data to situations where the processing is necessary for a specific purpose.

 

The processing of your personal data is necessary in order for us to fulfil our contractual obligations towards your employer. Your personal data are also processed for the purpose of direct marketing of our products. The legal basis for such processing of your personal data is that it is our assessment that our legitimate interests override your interests, cf. article 6(1)(f) in the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). Our legitimate interests constitute fulfilment of our contractual obligations, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, invoicing for the services your company provides to AET and/or vice versa, communicating with you if you have any questions related to our services or vice versa, direct marketing of our products, and for documentation purposes in the event we agree on something relating to our services in writing via email. In addition to this, it is both in our and your interest that we can offer you a good experience when you visit the Website.

 

In certain cases, processing of personal data is necessary in order to comply with a legal obligation, e.g. in relation to the national legislation. In such case, the legal basis for the processing will be article 6(1)(c) in the GDPR.

 

3.2 The Website

The purpose of processing your personal data, when you visit the Website, is to offer you a good experience and to give you the necessary information about our company and the services we offer. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is that it is our assessment that our legitimate interests override your interests. We refer to article 6(1)(f) in the GDPR. 4. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

In certain cases, if it is deemed necessary, we disclose your personal data to affiliates, vendors, cooperation partners or other third parties.

 

We have a number of data processors that - in certain cases - can process your personal data. These data processors only process your personal data on behalf of us, based on our instructions and solely for our purposes. Data processors may be providers of IT-systems and similar.

In certain cases, AET will transfer your personal data to third countries outside of EU/EEA, for instance Switzerland and Turkey. If your personal data are transferred to such third countries, AET ensures that such transfer will be carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection laws. If the transfer is not carried out to recipients established in so-called "safe" third countries, approved by the EU-Commission, we ensure this by, for instance, entering into the EU-Commission's standard contractual clauses. 6. STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

AET will only store your personal data as long as it is deemed necessary to fulfil the purposes for the processing of your personal data.

 

6.1 Contact person

As a contact person employed at a customer, vendor or another cooperation partner, we store your personal data until the termination of the contractual relationship between AET and the company that you are employed by, or as long as we communicate with you. As a contact person employed at a potential customer, we store your personal data for up to 7 years.

In certain cases, we store your personal data for a longer period, for instance, if processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims towards your employer. In these cases, we will store your personal data as long as it is necessary for these specific purposes. Hereinafter we will delete your personal data.

 

6.2 The Website

For information on storage of your personal data in relation to visiting the Website, we refer to section 7.5 in this Privacy and Cookie Policy.

 

7. USE OF COOKIES
